Fetch Tiger – I Can’t Compete

After Successfully releasing their sophomore single, ‘Best Design’ which gained plays from Amazing Radio and was featured as London’s Hoxton Radio’s “Trade of the Week”, London-based Indie artist, Fetch Tiger returns with third single, “I Can’t Compete”.

Speaking about the track, Fetch Tiger said:

“’I Can’t Compete’ explores the haunting fear of becoming irrelevant – one I’ve found increasing in my new adulthood. Taking place in an arcade, the lyrics are a conversation overheard through the neon reflection of a pinball machine, swimming in phrases that are both nostalgic and gaming metaphors; musically, the relentlessness of the hi-hat and the the halloween guitars are my anxiety personified. Reminiscent of King Krule’s sonic universe, ‘I Can’t Compete’ is a song for when the Game starts to lose its luster.

– Fetch Tiger

While many of us also worry that we are becoming irrelevant, this lush and cozy track with its raw emotions will uplift and comfort you. Fetch Tiger’s 4th and 5th singles will follow in Fall 2020, so be sure to be on the look out.
